SAM Speed 400 LMR Postal Event 2009

Loren Kramer's Cleveland Viking (above) was just one of the many models on display at the SAM 27 Lakeville Road flying site as SAM 27 flew it's SAM Speed 400 LMR Postal event on Saturday, 19 September, 2009. His Speed 400 powered Airborn (left) glides by while on an official flight.

Chip Buss, (above) launches his Airborn Speed 400 model while observed by a 'friend'.

Flight line was busy all morning long with flyers and timers and regular (non-postal event )members flying and enjoying the warm, bright day.

The flying site's undisputed 'King of the Air' (a Red-Tailed Hawk) does a fly-by to inspect the goings-on.

Ed Hamler multitasks at the Postal Contest talking on his I-Phone while fueling his Ohlsson 23 Event Foote Westerner for another trimming flight. Ed is getting the R/C model ready for the Comet SAM Champs in Boulder, Nevada beginning October 4.
