INTENT OF RULES

The idea is

1) Avoid the need for eagle vision by

  • limiting the height of powered climb

  • avoiding long flights

2) Wider range of skills -- points for takeoff, landing and precision time.

3) Competitors vote on their preferences for the next contest.

4) More spectator appeal.

General Rules

Takeoffs will be at 25 ft intervals along the east side of the runway, and will run diagonally 30 degrees from the runway direction. Pilots will be behind the safety fence.

Hand launches (if required) will be from the field perimeter, upwind side.

After touchdown parking is not allowed on the runway (It's the same at SFO). So if other planes are following close behind you either perform a "touch and go" or taxi quickly of the side or end of the runway. Your timer will advise.
